Lagoon 4 - 9 Bar-tailed Godwits (this morning only), 5 Grey Plovers, 3 Turnstones, 7 Whimbrel (4 this morning and 3 this evening), 1 Greenshank, 2 Common Sandpipers still, 1 Wheatear, 1 Short-eared Owl still, 97 Dunlin this evening (only 17 this morning), 35 Ringed Plovers this evening (only 16 this morning), 1 Curlew Sandpiper (summer plumage) this evening, 1 Ruff this evening also 2 Sandwich Terns mid afternoon

Lagoon 3 - 21 Black Terns, 2 Arctic Terns and 2 Little Gulls (1 1st winter this morning , also in the North Arm this afternoon and 1 adult this evening)

North Arm - 1 Little Tern, 2 Black Terns and 1 Bar-tailed Godwit this afternoon

Lagoon 4 - 147 Black-tailed Godwits this evening. Then they flew off late evening and 4 remained and 31 flew back and they roosted. Also 5 Dunlin, 2 Common Sandpipers, 4 Whimbrel, 1 Short-eared Owl and 1 Arctic Tern

Lagoon 4 - 234 Black-tailed Godwits (125+ flew over and kept going towards Oakham and then 28 flew over and circled and then headed back towards Lagoon 1. Then the 28 came back towards Lagoon 4 and were joined by 142 birds, which are presumably the flock of 125+ from earlier, which may have flown back. Then the flock joined together and then they landed on Lagoon 4 and roosted on Island 7. Then 64 more dropped in and landed in front of Sandpiper Hide. Also 1 Ruff (no sing this evening) and 4 Whimbrel (this evening)

Lagoon 4 - 258+ Black-tailed Godwits this evening (SML, CH, EA). 175+ flew over and 39 of which dropped in onto the lagoon. Then 42 flew over and dropped in and joined the 39. Then the whole flock took off and then came back a few minutes later and were there were a further 41 birds in the flock. 1 Common Whitethroat, 5 Dunlin, 2 Whimbrel, 1 Common Sandpiper and 2 Green Sandpipers

Lagoon 4 - 557+ Black-tailed Godwits this evening (365+ flew over at about 19:00 and 73 of the 365 dropped onto the lagoon, but then flew off 17 minutes later and the rest of the flock continued heading north-west. 1 remained from the 73. Then at about 19:48 192 flew over and 95 of which dropped onto the lagoon and remained until 18:00 at least. The rest of the flock continued heading off north-west.) also 1 Whimbrel, 7 Dunlin and 1 Common Sandpiper

Lagoon 2 - 1 Ruddy Duck this afternoon after not being see since 8th February

Lax Hill - 1 White Stork flew over and drifted around and then drifted off to the west and seemed to head towards the visitor centre. Then it headed towards Lagoon 5 and then didn't reappear for at least an hour later when it was seen circling miles away over near Oakham. Then about 20 minutes later it came from the north over 360 hide. Then it seemed to do a loop and head back towards the north where it came from towards Church Lane and then it flew over towards the sewerage works over the other side of the A606. Then it came back along the Church Land heading south and then landed on Lagoon 4 on the west bank of the lagoon where it remained until 18:30. Thought to be one of the rehabilitated birds roaming the country unfortunately.
